Such shivers as I read this. Not being one of the anointed few (many?) who
know Robert Faires, I did not want to pile on. HOWEVER, Doc’s inspired
rededication of this poem nearly brought me to tears. Despite the fact that I
know none of you past 1973-74, I feel I know you nonetheless.

It really feels like the ground has shifted, now that Robert is stepping
away from being an institutional pillar of the Chronicle. To be honest, it
