I think droid is definitely going to be the way to go considering
apple has to approve everything before it is allowed. But at the
time when the iPhone first came out it was a big leap forward.
Especially being able to telnet into our routers and make changes or
remotely reboot cpe units.
I am in need of a few used AU-E-BS-900 units for a tower that will
have very little usage on a police car deployment we have. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

I think ther are specific issues regarding ofdm and 900 MHz that
causes problems. We did everything possible to fix noise and radio
issues. We use all tiltek sector antennas with lmr cabling and cavity
filters at each radio. We were able to get sporadic speeds up to
8mbps. We did a radio
I had around 12 waverider lms8000 radios installed. They were a
nightmare. We had problems from day one and pulled all of them. Unless
they have made some changes I would stay away from them. Also the
dongle on the 8000's were a big problem.

7mhz channel. Depending on the setting and service level I want to

getting around 65ms give or take. 0 lost packets. I have bandwith

I use axxcelera 3650 gear without diversity. Obviously there are
certain limitations but I have customers with cpe units that are
completely non line of sight (over a building and through trees) at 2
miles that reliably do 10 Meg symetrical links. Once you get a good

We received an exclusive contract to provide wireless Internet to a

Does anybody know of a good tower climber willing to do some work in
northeast Louisiana. I have three new tower locations that I am ready
to deploy and no reliable tower climber. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

IP cameras are fine. Many companies have gone to IP. If you are going
that route I would lean toward the H.264. Try to find one made in
Taiwan, South Korea or a country other than china. You will find that
the quality and software will be much better. Only problem with ip
cameras is if
quite a bit of bandwidth. If you have more information, i would be
glad to give you some recommendations off list.

I have some software writers that could do this pretty easy if you could
provide some more information on what you want (user interface etc.)

I have a contract to provide data to 185 police cars and 24 fire trucks in
our city. We have tested the Vecima LMS8000 series with MMT9000 radios and
they have seemed to work. I would like input from anyone who has used this
unit or has suggestions about it or other units. They were wanting
Only 30-35 police cars are active at any one time. Our plan is 5 sites with
4 90 antennas and a total of 20 LMS8000 radios with total theoretical
throughput of 160mb/s(I don't anticipate getting that). They plan to use
this network to access data as you suspected like records, plus they will
