Mine would stop advertising even with sleep disabled.

I listened to it. It basically sounds like they're running an avahi
process on the controller and caching any service advertisements on any
VLANs (including wired VLANs) trunked to the controllers. Of course you
need to have your controllers in a convenient location to get all of
necessary
