: Witango-Talk: Client Error
Paul,
What happens with plain text or html files, are they served to the public or
only to authorised users?
Is Witango defined as a Web Service Extension?
What are the settings in Web Site PropertiesDirectory Security?

Tango client - Tango server communication error, usually.
I've seen what you describe when my client thinks there are more servers
than actually are. If you are running a server pool, one of your servers
might not be responding. Otherwise it could point to a configuration or
networking issue.
Title: Re: Witango-Talk: Client Error. The server refused connection.
Tom,
Your issue may be caused by the wrong plug-in being used by the web server when connecting to the witango server. The installer, rather than overwiting your settings will warn you that you have .taf, .tcf and .tml mapped

The ListenerAddress and ListenerPort are null and 18100,
respectively. If I put in an IP address for the listen address,
nothing changes. This is a Witango V5 problem for if I switch
back to WiTango V4.5, everything works fine

Check clients.ini and the LISTENERADDRESS and LISTENERPORT
settings in witango.ini.

We have Witango Application Server for
Windows V5.0.1.062; running on a Windows 2000 Professional Advanced
Server SP3 with SQL Server 2000
Are there any entries in the log when it quits. Do you have more than one
server install using the same license? If so, I think one of the pair will
quit after a certain amount of time.

Chances are that your t4client.ini (Tango 2000) or clients.ini (Witango 5)
configuration file is missing or that the listener ports are not set up the
same in that file and the server configuration file which is t4server.ini
(Tango 2000) or witango.ini (Witango 5).
Hope this helps,
Steve Smith
