Hi Charlie,
Put simply, if the MS VC-Redist was not installed, or it had not been
included in some other non WSJT related package, the Qt5 and Python3
packages within the SDK would fail, as they require the redistributable
MSVC DLL's in order to function properly.

Hi Greg and Michael
Thanks - what would have happened if the VC-Redist was not there?
Understand now how to build the package.

Hi Charlie,
With respect to VC-Redist, as long as it is installed, you should be ok.
To build a the Win32 installer, use the package target, for example:
build-wsjtx package
The same goes for the other applications. The output location is
displayed on the screen after building.

Hi Charlie,
The way we store the Frequencies table has changed. Go to the "Settings
| Frequencies" tab and hit the "Reset" button to get the defaults.
To make a distributable package you need to execute the command
"build-wsjtx package".

Hi Sandro
Many thanks for replying to my call for help!
Yes, it is for windows. I will delete everything I installed earlier from
the links in the Developer's Guide 1.0 and start again.
It looks like the process is considerably simpler now.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks again
