I agree with Greg. FT8 combines the best of 'slow' and 'fast' modes but operationally it's quite challenging because there's a lot of information to absorb and very little thinking time. More automation is appropriate, IMHO. As far as grabbing a response to a CQ from the stack goes, for general D
