I used to use "xv" to do it. There's a way to have it tell you the
color value when you click on a pixel with the mouse. You can also
really enlarge the picture so that you can click on just the right
pixel.

Anyway, fill us in a bit more and we'll see if we can drum up some
interest in supporting it. It's a worth

that do work and don't get in the way of upgrades. If anyone has
already gone through this and has the tweaks, save everybody else

going through the procedure constantly.
Since AX.25 kernel networking has applications for APRS, a page on
the info.aprs.net Wiki shouldn't be shot down by
RF that has "TCPIP" in the path means that it
originated on the internet and was gated to RF already. We wouldn't
want to gate it back to the internet again or we'd have a looping
problem.
Xastir does not gate between RF interfaces either BTW.

SuSE I had to downgrade Motif to earlier versions to get around a
bug they introduced recently in Motif. Running OpenSuSE-10.3 here
with Motif 2.2.4. Also switched back to ImageMagick on 10.3 'cuz
the SuSE compile of GraphicsMagick wasn't done right.

A better recommendation would be to use the VMWare image inside
VMWare Player, assuming that the end-user machines are adequate to
run VMWare. That way you can run Linux inside VMWare and use either
the Xastir-LSB version or a custom compiled version with all the
libraries you need.

What you need is the development packages installed, which gives you
the C header files (*.h files). With these the compiler can compile
new code to use the libraries.

Looks like you're missing some Perl stuff that automake/autoconf
need in order to do their work. Anything that is *.pl or *.pm is
usually Perl.
See if there's an update for Automake, Autoconf, or Perl.

We don't use tiles from Terraserver, so that won't be an issue. We
download an entire image at once.

FWIW I have some Lacrosse 2317 stations to test with. I have an
original Dallas One-Wire station as well but that's not pertinent to
this perl code, just to Xastir testing in general.
