Why do I receive 3 mails every time I get mails form Xastir ?.

Take a look at your ~/.cvsrc file. You likely have a line in there
like this:
cvs -z3
That sets the compress

If you have no .cvsrc file I don't know where this error message can be
coming from, but you can try adding "-z3" to the comm
