No change in openmotif. I do have the 2.3 version so I may have just not seen
the problem before. Will downgrade to 2.2 and see what happens.

Motif 2.2.4 works fine for me on OpenSuSE-10.3 Linux. Labels appear
on the sliders. The Motif that installed with 10.3 didn't work, and
as I recall it was 2.3.something.

Yea. Downgrade your Motif to an earlier version that doesn't have
the bug.
