It turns out the /xcatpost/updateflag.awk was sending the status back to the xcatd and causing nodeset to run. This could not resolve the ip address and created a new DHCP entry without the fixed-address. I had added new entries to the networks table. Restarted xcatd solved the problem. Mark F
