from Adobe Reader 5 and it was consistent on all platforms and all
printers. It was not the case of other versions of Acrobat and Ghostscript.
It thus seems to me that some renderers are more tolerant to font bugs.
As far as I know nowadays with HarfBuzz it does nothing, HarfBuzz handles
normalization in its own way.

period using XeLaTeX, LuaLaTeX and ConTeXt. I cannot guarantee that my

is supported. The color package allows you to use both CMYK and
grayscale (both are allowed in the printing industry). You can, of
course, set the colour by promitives. You have to use both k and K for

the problem is that TeX Live maintains dependencies by collections,
not by individual packages. Thus if you install a package, it does not
mean that you have all what is needed. Especially pdfx is very complex
and requires a lot of other files. Installation of shceme-full may be
faster

As already mentioned, Script=Devanagari switches the correct shaping of the
font so that ki appears as कि and not as क followed by ि matra. Try to
enter किताब with and without it and you will see the difference.

a set of commercial fonts from the Czech vendor. The fonts can be used for
Czech,
Slovalk English, but not for French, Danish, Icelandic, because all glyphs
are not covered. it can thus be characterized as \czechfon
No, -- and --- are handled by tfm in traditional TeX, in XeTeX it is
handled by the teckit mapping. The keywords are either Mapping=tex-text or
Ligatures=TeX. I have not examined the packages in depth but it may be
added automaticaly. The mapping is defined in file
texmf-dist/fonts/misc/xetex/fontm

I do not believe so. With SizeFeatures you instruct fontspec which size(s)
should be used but the TeX paragraph builder will still obey \baselineskip
and \lineskiplimit.

was originally written in the Devanagari (or maybe even in Brahmi, I am not

as far as I know the Devanagari fonts are either Sanskrit with all
conjuncts that cannot be switched off or Hindi without the Sanskrit
conjuncts. The only exception is FreeSerif which takes the Devanagari block
from the Velthuis Devanagari and models the two modes from the "good old"
