support until XFree4.3x. ATI seems to have some drivers on their site

I'm looking at getting a new video card, either an ATI (9700 or 9800 pro) or
NVidia (FX ) card. (Possibly an All-In-Wonder 9700). Anyone have any ideas
on what is the best bet? How is ATI's support under Linux? Is this with an
open source or closed source driver? If ATI has solid support
