Hi all,
Are you using SMTP Grey Listing (GLST module from Davide) with XMail?
Which range of ips (subnets) are you using in xnet parameter?
At this moment I´m whitelisting Hotmail and GMail ranges but I don´t know if
could be a good idea to whitelist others.

You don't need MNET to exclude simple addresses. An MNET is to tell GLST
that such IP set should be considered same as far as

Hello Davide
I upgraded recently to glst 0.27 due to mnet problem (recent discussion on
this list)
Now, trying to send a mail from the server itself I got a rejection 'try
later' from glst even if the 'sender ip' is excluded with an xnet setting :
Actual glst.conf xnet and mnet :
mnet=0.0.0.0,0
Hello Davide
Just trying the mnet setting in glst.conf
Before I had no mnet setting and my glst database showed the good ip
I tryed the following setting according to glst doc to help pass mails
coming from second retries isp senders servers on same class C networks :
mnet=0.0.0.0,0.0.0.0,255.

Hi,
I have xmail installed on OpenWRT (on Asus WL500gP), and it works fine.
I tried to use GLST to filter spams. According to the documentation, I
inserted the following line to the file filters.pre-data.tab:
"!aex,wlex" "/opt/var/MailRoot/bin/glst""--mfile" "@@FILE"
I found that th
In our design we have two mail servers, one for pop3 and one for smtp.
The GLST filter is working great on the mail server, but I need to find a
good solution for the smtp server too.
In fact enabling it on the SMTP i receive the error 4.7.1 sending the mail

I am using glst with xmail and came up with a question.
In general, and glst in specific, is it more efficient to pass all the
parameters on the command line, or pass the file name and let the
program parse the mail file?
I am passing the email filename with the @@FILE macro and was thinking

Last night and today I've been overwhelmed by spam, majority being
caught by spamassassin. Tonight I noticed glst.dbm hadn't changed
since yesterday when I restarted with xmail-1.25-pre16 and ipv6
enabled. I then remembered Davide mentioned a glst update for ipv6,
so glst-0.25 now installed, .
How do people come up with, and keep current, their configurations for
greylisting.
I am specifically having problems with the 'xnet' settings staying
current.
Does someone keep a current list of subnets used by the larger mail
services?=20

What is the recommended GLST database cleanup procedure and how often

Hi all,
It seems that glst 0.23 does not distinguish between a numeric
ClientDomain - a spammer sends an IP address as HELO - and the actual
sender IP. As a result, if the ClientDomain is a XNETted IP -
typically, the mail server's IP - glst stops processing and passes

I need a little assistance. I have read all of the greylisting info but

I know this is nuts, but none of the tools I have can open the glst tarball.

someone reccomend a windows program that will unpack Davide's tarball on

Did the new library show the same problems (100% CPU utilization) as the
