yes, the config files for each game should be placed in ~/.xmame/rc/pacmanrc for example. Default values should be stored in ~/.xmame/xmamerc-version for example. This way, you still get the default values you programmed in for the games if you use the GUI or not. As far as path names with sp

Lawrence, It appears that including in src/unix/osdutils.h is causing the DEBUG build of MESS (and possibly MAME) to fail. I'm not sure why is being included because it seems to compile fine with out. May I suggest to depricate including in the osdutils.h file for the next release to see

Anyway, it looks like this is taking advantage of a bug in compose_path in src/fileio.c, output is only 1024 bytes, and the function is using stuff like strcpy and strcat instead of strncpy and strncat. This is most definatly a security problem in the MAME core and not xmame. On Monday 02 Jun
