Hi All,
I am triying to write a Hello world like
program in GUI mode in RedHat Linux using Xlib library
functions, but I am getting struck with
XAllocColorCells() function call, even I tried one
example available from Kenton Lee Technical X Window
System programming site also that also get
not in 4.1.0, but you can use the ati.2 driver from the gatos project to
enable it. Alternatively, check out X from CVS. Xv is now built in (the CVS
X also has Radeon 7500 support, and 2D-only 8500 support, if it matters.)

Hello,
Sorry to bother, but I'm really at my wits end with this, and hopefully
someone more familiar with the inner workings of the Trident drivers can help
me.
I'm using a Gateway Solo 9100 which has a Trident 9397DVd chip. Whenever I

Is there any way to unload/load the driver without leaving X?
Thanks in advanced.

Louis,
I am unsure of what you mean by Video blending. Do you mean
alpha blending for subpicture(#1), like in a DVD? or are you
specifically asking about the Overlay constant alpha feature
of the hardware(#2).
#1 requires use of the XvMC API. It can blend subpictures

Hi:
I am using RH7.2 with Intel i810e, so far, for the graphics

what is the method to call video blending function of the driver?

HI!
Sorry about the late reply!
I have looked into xmove and xmx and it seems tha xmove is in the same
direction as was our intention, although a completely different
approach. I will look more into the source of xmove.
I tried xmove last night (between my laptop (DELL 1024*768) together my

This problem is, unfortunately, more difficult that it appears
on the surface, more than we even realized when we designed X11.
It is one of (maybe the) biggest regret I have about X11's design.

I noticed that the ATI drivers where updated. Does anyone know if these
updates add 3D support to the 8500?

Is Xv on the Radeon supported by the drivers included in XFree86 4.1.0?

Just a random idea :)
I was doing what I usually do a saturday evening - i.e. staying up all night

Xscreensaver - when I saw a nice screensaver. It was all black, except a

I've just committed a fix. Thanks for reporting the problem.

Hi,
I'm rebuilding my tree of the CVS version of XFree86, and it fails in
atipreinit.c saying that ATI_CRTC_VGA is undefined at line 2682.

I've had this happen a few times. If I'm using vgacons (non-fbdev console) I
can modprobe the fbdev module (radeonfb in my case) to get the console back.
If it pukes again after this, I can use fbset to change the resolution. This
fixes things.

I cannot find the how to on multiheaded displays.
I have added two screen, monitor and devices to my XF86config-4 file. I
have also changed first section.
It looks like everything loads, I get complete sections on MGA(0) and
MGA(1), but it bombs during the video transformation. I then get a 1

It does do some things differently if it detec

Just for the record, is you monitor actually working syncs

I'm always trying to get composite sync for 625line TV
