Hi,
I have got a SIS video card, "AG315P-64" and I
don't know how I can configure it with XFree86. I have RedHat 7.2 with
XFree86-4.0.1-1 and the sis driver don't support the card. And the manufacturer
don't support the driver. Only I can start X with a resolution of 640x480 with
16 colors

Hi!
I really thought this is a FAQ, but after searching for hours on Google and
posting on various newsgroups, it doesn't seem to be.
All my mousebuttons are visible in xev, so X knows about them. However that's
pretty useless by itself as no app (except xev) I know uses more than 3
buttons (

If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is
newer than the above date, look for a newer version before

When you say TinyX uses no configuration file - do you mean that it does
not require one to work, or that
even if one (e.g.) XF86Config is present, it is ignored ?
Kind Regards,

I am having problems configuring X.-windows on my PC. I am using
Xconfigurator. I then select my video as generic and then the server screen
comes up. The only selection that exists is XF86_S3, so needless to say I
have to select this. Next I choose custom monitor and enter in the

Remove the relevant code from the keyboard driver (somewhere under
hw/kdrive/linux). (Keith, shall we make it command-line configurable?)

After about an 8 year lapse, I tried to compile an old X Windows program
that used the pushbuttonWidgetClass. The XFree86 version of X dosnt seem
to support this widget. Am I missing something or have pushbuttons been
moved to someother library/header file. The old header was PushButton.h and

step.
Use 'mkfs', 'newfs' or whatever your OS provides, depending on which
filesystem type (e.g. *nix, DOS etc) you actually want to have on it. And then
you have to mount it.
Or, if simply taking the floppy to ano

A while ago someone complained about a laptop that had a problem
with duplicate letters showing up when you typed really fast.
I've come across such a laptop. It's a brand new Toshiba Satellite.
What I've found is that when you type fast enough (not all that
fast, really), you can read duplic
