Hello,
I need some help on understanding "X Security Extensions". From what I
understand, this is a specification ( X11R6...) to enhance X server
security.
This seems to be made up of X server having the -sp option, commands
like xhost, authorization through MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1...
Is having X S
Hello everyone,
I recently upgraded to XFree86-4 on FreeBSD but when I try to launch into
kdm and the login screen appears my mouse pointer flies to the upper left
hand corner of the screen and is uncontrollable from the mouse.
What's odd about this is that when I go into xf86cfg to check my mou

Hi,
I am having a problem with rendered fonts in OpenGL apps. I can reproduce this

I think it is safe to expect more from a commercial
product, but I didn't expect to see the performance
difference provided by Xi's MX Silver X server and the
XFree86 X server. The difference is staggering, which
makes me wonder if there is a problem. Let's get the
specs out of the way...

Hi,
I'm a tad stumped here. I'm dealing with a RedHat 7.2 box running Xfree86 4.1.0. This is my situation: I have two users who both need to be able to use the Xserver on a machine to run builds, regardless of which one of them may actually be logged in on the box using gdm (or kdm or xdm). Openin

XftConfig file?
It seems like my dir entries aren't used, and I have to explicitly specify
the font paths to my truetype and type1 fonts on the command line.
All help appreciated.
