I think my next distribution for all my work will be even debian.
Because there are no needs for snap or flatpak.
My other PC with debian 11 works now for years with soundstudio -
without aany problems.I think I will also convert my current and last
Xubuntu PC to debian.

new /tmp can be found on RAM or any other SDD and then start the system
without any problems ?
For shure, that old one entry must be deleted - or - is it so ?

since a few weeks I have problems with login to my rooter. If the last
login is more then 4 or 5 hours old, the login is in most cases
impossible or needs a half hour and more.
I have to open a new rooter-login-window in firefox. If this is done
all wents well.

my xubuntubox and very seldomly wents things wrong to now.
Troubleshooting is all the more difficult if something goes wrong ...

Have tried it yesterday, but after a restart of the PC my screen was
completly white, otherwise nothing was to be seen. No keyboard

it seems, but am not sure right now,
that problem ist the amdgpu-driver.
This driver I had to install, because on the same machine blender 2.83
is installed. And to get all the render-featers running (realtime-
rendering) this driver is a must due to xubuntu 18.04

The behavior:
no possibilty to make a stroke of the brush, no magic wand, no lasso
and much more ...
the selectivity circle stucks and nothing happens.
But reinstalling gimp 2.8 brings back all the missing functions.
