[1.] "Hitachi, Microsoft to pair on data storage"

[2.] "IBM and HDS swap programming code for storage servers"
More news from the storage front: IBM and Hitachi Data Systems have
taken interoperability to the next level. The competing storage
vendors have agreed to give each other access to the Application
Programming Interfaces for their enterprise storage servers. The deal
will let users use the same software on the IBM Shark and HDS
Lightning.

[3.] "New report questions Linux server claims"
Microsoft is helping stir a debate over Linux's share of the server
market. A recent Gartner Dataquest report, co-sponsored by Redmond,
found about 9% of server shipments in the U.S. during the third
quarter of 2000 were Linux-based. That's considerably less than the
figures in an IDC study.
