What are the permissions on /etc/sysconfig/mouseconfig, and what is in
there?
I have:
ll /etc/sysconfig/mouseconfig
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 92 ...
cat /etc/sysconfig/mouseconfig
FULLNAME="Microsoft - IntelliMouse (PS/2)"
MOUSETYPE="imps2"
XEMU3="no"
XMOUSETYPE="IMPS/2"
I do have an Intellimouse PS/2. What kind of mouse are you using, and which
did you select in mouseconfig?
