Like what files? Sounds like useful information. I would only try this
against raw source too. Not Redhat supplied stuff, which is probably
heavily patched already, and may conflict.
I would have to try it again to say which files; it's been a couple of weeks.
Bellsouth sells that modem for $125 IIRC, if you don't want to go the
ebay route, and want to make sure it is pre-configured. You'll need
rp-pppoe or some PPPoE client too. Pretty easy to set up though. No
patching! Bundled with Redhat, or http://roaringpenguin.com.
I already have the modem, and it's working with W2K. I have never patched anything in
Linux before and have some trepidations.
