Opening the computer and taking out the battery should empty the CMOS
memory after a while. It does, however, take a while - from several minutes
to few hours (?). Few times I managed to over-overclock my computer, and only
fix for this was to take out the battery (motherboard has no jumper for
erasing CMOS); half an hour later, I tried to start it again, but the CMOS
data was still in there. I had to wait more than an hour to get CMOS emptied.
