Ive used remote administrator on many different windows os's.  It
takes up a heluva lot less resources than something like pcanywhere. 
It also allows you to set specific permissions such as shell access
only, file transfer, viewable screen, and one other that I forget. 
You can get it @ download.com by searching for "radmin".  I think it
costs something like $30, maybe even less.
...This is all of course if you are not running a terminal services
edition of NTx
