Fernando is right on the tinysoftware firewall.. I've played with it
briefly and it appears to be a really good featured firewall (at least for
free). I do disagree with VNC viewer (correct link is:
http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc). It's a nice package, and does a lot of
similar functions of pcAnywhere, but security, at least for the open source
release, seems to be an afterthought, as it doesn't really include any. The
password encryption scheme is very poor, and the protocol it uses in general
is susceptible to very well documented man-in-the-middle-type attacks. If
it's a Win2K server, why not use Terminal Services? There is no extra cost
there, and you can configure for 128 bit encryption. The only thing I can
think of that it may not provide would possibly be error messages directed
at the console. If that is a definite requirement, then I would really
recommend shelling out a very small amount of money and getting pcAnywhere.

Hi,
Ill answer 2 of your questions..Firewall: give a glance at tinysoftware.
Currently I am using the tiny firewall, and I think it's quite nice..I'd
also like to hear any comment about this program, if anyone wants to..
The other one; Pcanywhere is OK, but if you want to try anything else, try
VCN viewer. Perhaps you need more than what this program can give, but at
least it's free...and so the code is ;) (uk.research.att.com/vcn)
