Mario,

    3DES is Symmetric enryption system, where each side sharing the same
key.
    SHA-1 is for Digital Signature like MD5 (Hash Function), not for
encryption. SHA is to ensure that the packet is authen-
   tic and cannot be modified in transit.

    I think that is better take a look at:
