Exactly, and that is because better coders, or people that were allowed to
code well (sometimes project managers don't want to listen and it's not the
fault of the coder(s)), created better programs.  And, that is what this
subject is about.  People can argue that fact, but the fact is there's poor
choices in the OS and programs used for services over others.  That plays a
large role in the security of your network and systems... the programs you
choose to run.  That makes your job as a sys admin easier, accounts for
better sleeping at night and less worry... and less support on the
client-end.
