djbdns [1] exists, though I don't know how well it works on larger scale
and under heavy load.

<opinion>
It's somewhat peculiar, since Dan Bernstein seems to have some strange
opinion on where files should be placed in the directory tree and how
config should look like, so I prefer to continue using BIND and continue
patching.
