Hello. I am trying to compile OpenSSH on my opensolaris box. I have a Dell 2950, which has Xeon processors. I am trying to figure out if i take my compiled package and install it on an HP Proliant DL585, which has an AMD Opetoron processor, will I get any errors/issues? I've been doing some reading and googling and everything I see simply says that the target machine has to be the same architecture as the one I am compiling in. Meaning if I compile in SPARC then I must use SPARC as the target. also, if I use x86 for compiling and must use x86 for the target. Any help or pointers in the right direction would be very much apriciated. Thanks, Pete Chan.
