I need help with a satellite TV problem. I'm looking
for a site or sites where I might find either other
people with problems or someone who knows about
Satellite reception problems. We haven't had our
service even a year and all of a sudden we are having
bizarre reception problems. Called DirectTV...they
are NO help. Their site is NO help. The "tech" guy
didn't even know what a "transponder" is, never mind
why we are only getting reception from the even
numbered ones. He referred us to RCA (manufacturer of
our receiver). And upon thinking about it I'm
inclined to at least say he's right...because the
reception is either 0% or 100%. But not all channels
at the same time. So how do you determine if you have
a "lemon"? RCA is not very helpful at this point and
I don't know enough to say it is or it isn't their
unit at fault. I need to be educated and fortified.
