I am still convinced that this is a compatibility issue between MW and Halo. The error almost certainly has nothing to do with SMW. What you can do is: install a clean MediaWiki, preferably the version required by your SMW+/Halo distribution. Install SMW (plain, without Halo&Co) and see if all works well. Then, carefully, add Halo components and find out which part of the installation might break the wiki.
