If the lawsuit was Nissan discriminates against poor
people, then it would probably easily be explained
away by saying the obvious, poor people are a higher
 credit risk.

By bringing a racial overtone to it, the lawyer now
 has a case unfortunately.

Well, Mike unfortunately these things go on. I do realize that many times
race can be used as a scapegoat, but don't hide your head in the sand. Only
when everyone faces what is wrong can things be corrected. I love Nissan as
much as the first person but bought mine used from someone. I am one of those
black minorities that Nissan discriminated against. I initially wanted a
Maxima. The first lot would not let me test drive the car without a salesman
in the car. That was right after the white man left to test drive a 300Z The
credit excuse does not hold water, they never asked what I did. I left as I
was not being treated the same. I went to another dealer in town and after
giving me a run around with salesmen supposedly running back and forth to the
manager, they gave me some ridiculous price. He then said if I couldn't
afford it, I should try something less expensive. So again I left and went to
the Mazda dealership where they gave me the keys to there brand new on the
lot at that time Millenia to test drive. No hassles, no games just gave me
the keys. I then bought that car that day. Now I am a veterinarian, black and
can afford any car that Nissan produces. If it happened to me twice in one
day at two different establishments, then it is very easy to believe in the
law suit as a positive thing if practices change. This occurs all the time on
all kinds of fronts. You can't be paralyzed by the occurrence, but understand
it and squash it where you can. Oh yeah I do find it weird that this has
never happened to me at a premium line. Hell we bought the Infinite QX4
without a hitch.
