Well you could install a second AMP the exact same as installing the other 
one.  Run a whole nother set of everything.  Another separeate power, set of 
RCA's and ground.  You can use the same remote wire.  You might run into a 
problem on the back of your deck where it might only have 2 RCA preouts 
(rear) instead of 4 (front and rear).  If this happens, you can get a "Y" 
adapter to plug into the deck to make each single RCA preout a double.  Then 
you would use one of each for each set of speakers

I believe that some AMPs do have capabilities to filter high and low 
frequency sound but I don't think all of them do.  You may need/ want  a 
crossover if your AMP isn't selectable.

Yes, any where as long as its no more than 18 " away... but I wouldn't, so 
to say, mount it on the battery.
