Actually, I fundamentally disagree with one of Spring's mission statements.
I seriously dislike unchecked exceptions, which although easier for the lazy
programmer lead inevitably to surprises and problems.
In any event, the proposed approach does eliminate container dependencies.
All of our core components would defined POJOs.
