The page describes the OSI layers and the TCP/IP layers. They both
incorporate similar definitions for application (including transfer)
protocols as well as transport protocols.

I think "queue" is equally well-defined, but specific to each queuing
system. Some of the other terms are not well-defined, e.g. "service"
and "SOA". That is where the confusion really comes into the picture.

At least we can point to these other definitions and argue effectively.
