In the larger community, I've seen feedback on the OASIS SOA RM [1] fall into two general categories.
1) Alignment with Steve's view as the "..current best stab at definition what SOA actually is and
while focusing on the software domain its definitions have been deliberately crafted to apply to other areas, and in particular the
Business".
2) Or folks turning on the bozo bit on the doc as a verbose and overblown document that adds very little to the discussion.
Unfortunately in a majority of the cases, view #1 is usually from folks who have been involved in the OASIS process and/or related standards orgs and not from the Platform Vendor or the End-User Implementer community.
Given the make-up of this particular group, it will be interesting to get the feedback.
