The discussion in the article (together with follow-on comments) explains why OO design techniques are necessary - indeed, I would say, vital if we are to avoid a repeat of the BPR disasters of the 1990s. That semantic richness introduced via techniques such as domain-specific languages can only be done procedurally.  In fact, the opposite is true.  Knowledge management techniques such as ontologies are based directly on object concepts.
