ESB as a Resource may be a different angle. We are discussing the position of 
ESB with regard consumer-provider of the Service relationship.

I have to repeat - I would agree with the statement "A consumer interacting 
with the ESB  (knowingly or not) is effectively interacting with the service." 
- only if ESB is represented in the Service Description. Otherwise, it actes as 
'send and forget' which is NOT consumer-provider of the Service relationship 
according to SOA RA (and RM).
