Great observation Dan! I wish I'd said that. The success of the
web technologies when applied to incredibly diverse businesses shows the
power of technology -- independent of any particular "business driving".
That's not to say that in each particular instance, the business does not
need to "do the right thing" with the technology, it simply recognizes that
some technologies do indeed have transformative impact across diverse
industries. Computing generally is even a better example.
