Calm down Jim.

In fact, as ever, there is more to this than meets the eye. I have
just started working for a major international telecoms company where
they run Sun kit. I've been really impressed with the Solaris JVM.
It's blindingly fast.

The servletrunner from Sun used to be a good implementation too, I
havenm't used it in a while but it did include everything you would
need from a pure enegine - thread pooling, sessions, etc...

The stuff it didn't do very well when I last looked at it (about 1
year ago) was admin. But sometimes you can live with that.

If you've got a really tight budget and not much knowledge this could
be all you need.

On the other hand, there are plenty of free implementations of
servlet API that provide just as much and more than the Sun JSDK.

Running on Sun anyone of these is really, really quick.
