This won't change in 2.1 -- we've got an RFE for future versions.

This will work in 2.1 -- by default all sessions timeouts are set to -1,
but if you set them, they will be reaped. Also, in a future version of
the jsdk, we'll start having properties to set default timeouts.. But
that'll be after 2.1

Actually, you might want to read the license again. I don't think that
there's a restriction on types of use.
