Imagine if companies ran thier mail lists this way.
A bunch of customers discuss features, likes, dislikes, whatever, about your
product on the product's mail list.
It's obvious that employees of the company that are directly involved with
the product monitor each and every message.
However, every once in a while an employee pipes up and says "By the way, if
you don't want us to ignore what you're saying you have to post it to the
"feedback" list or it won't count in our "process".
Don't you think that maybe this would rightly piss off your customers big
time?
Don't you view the developers on this list as your customers?
As a servlet developer that's invested a lot in servlet technology I'm here
to tell you that statements like this make me froth at the mouth. I expect
Sun to seriously listen to the opinions of the developers on this list.
