we listen ... all the time. we learn as well ... all the time.

there are (at least) two tracks going on regarding serlvets
these days:

        servlet interest

a means by which any and all (sun and the
world) can share ideas regarding servlets
                and the like

        servlet specifications

a forum of individuals formed to discuss
                pending servlet specifications

as i see it, there is simply no way to help the servlet
world at large *and* nail down the "what's next with servlets"
in one list. the specification discussions are more formal
by nature so as to guarentee progress which begets deliverables,
ets. a general purpose list on the other hand free to cover
any/all discussions within the bounds of the topic (servlets
in this case).

some sun staff spans these lists and when "gems" float by one
or the other that are just too good to let go you can be
assured folks latch on to them ... it'd be silly to do
otherwise.

on the other hand, if you want to be sure your comments are
heard and addressed regarding specification discussions it
is in your best interest to consider understanding and
participating in the specification guidelines (which are
really not terribly rigid but none the less there are
bounds).

hope this helps,
