The servletrunner that comes with the JSDK is more a demonstration
tool than a real tool, and you have run into a couple of its
limitations. One, it doesn't automatically sense changes in servlets
and reload them, and two, it doesn't serve files (because it is not a
full blown web server). Sounds like you might want to use a more
full-featured servlet container.
