Sounds like you're saying that "most users" are lazy (and hence, by
extension, selfish and inconsiderate). If that's the case, I don't
really care what they think. (I don't necessarily think that's the
case, but there are some that are.)

I think you may be overly concerned -- I think what people are really
asking is that you think about whether your question is appropriate (a
little common sense and experience comes in handy there) and make some
effort to seek out the answer first on your own. If you give some
indication that you've done that, I don't think people will hassle you.
