Very interesting. This is what we call in Mech Warrior: Letting the heavies
take care of the heavies. Not that your in-depth discussion is for not,
it's just that next week, new list members will have no knowledge of your
vented wisdom.
If you three gurus, whose opinions and guidance we all value and respect,
could instantiate a collective of some sort, maybe you could target these
issues on a higher level. And if you think you don't have the time or
desire, think about all the mail you send that says "Wrong place for that
question", "Do your homework" etc. Maybe a template or clone-able email
pointing members toward a list of valuable resources that you find would
suffice. You could all come up with your own, and blast the lazy member out
of the water with one quick reply, and possibly provide something for the
rest of us as well. It beats getting blasted by Mark's personal salvo (I
know).
As a collective, maybe listserv would have a place for you if they decide to
start monitoring these lists. I know the JSP list is starting to look like
the local high school kids hangout complete with graffiti and bad language,
hopefully Servlets won't get there.
Anyway, thanks for reading, replying, and being there. Your support is
keeping us busy and in tune (not to mention employed) and we appreciate it.
All the best,
Steven Shaw
