My take...
I have no reason to believe or disbelieve in ET, not do I have any need to believe or disbelieve. It's fine with me if I die this way.
If I had to lay odds, my GUESS is that they may well exist, but I see no evidence that we've ever been visited, even once.
As a side comment...we don't need to be concerned about the huge voids now preventing our interstellar travel because with seti we just need a radio signal((:

When and if a signal is received, I'll change my opinion to "Do exist".
