Hi,

I just tested with "mkdir build;cd build;cmake ../
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/home/elepage/prefix/ -DENABLE_VIDEO=true && make
-j5 install" and video does work in SFLPhone-KDE 1.2.1. It is not the greatest
thing ever, but it is possible to configure and call with video. It also does
compile fine for me. So, if you say it no longer compile for you, can you
please give us the error message? I was pleasantly surprised to see the video
working, I wasn't hoping it would still work after all that time.

By the way, 1.2.2 should be out any minute now. Enjoy SFLPhone-KDE!

Sure!

It will be fixed soon (as in, next week). We had to draw a list of features
that would make the cut for 1.2.1, some had to be dropped given the time
constraint. We are fully committed to support video for all clients and
platforms. We wanted to make sure 1.2.1 was the best release ever, after all,
what's the point of releasing something inferior to the previous iteration. So
I focused this iteration on usability features and KDE integration and had to
keep video disabled. If you wish to use the KDE client along with video
support, feel free to try on 1.2.0 or I can dig up the last build that worked
correctly. My propositing would be to wait until next week when we will start
to focus on the next generation of features for SFLPhone 1.3. This include,
among other, better video support for the KDE client (as stated in the KDE
client release announcement).

If you wish, I can send you an e-mail as soon as we have a build you can test.
As you use the KDE client, I would also love to have your feedbacks so it can
be made even better.

Waiting for your reply, have a good day.

Indeed sflphone-client-kde will no longer compile if I enable video.

add_definitions( -DENABLE_VIDEO ) in CMakeLists.txt

I would love to be able to access my contacts in kde AND have video. Are there
plans to revisit the kde client?
