This is a "simple" upgrade to ggrep:
http://cr.opensolaris.org/~dduvall/ggrep-2.5.4/
that also fixes a bug with the man pages. There are two more open bugs
against ggrep, one of which I can't reproduce, the other of which appears
to have arisen from some confusion between Solaris grep and GNU grep on
Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris, respectively. I've asked both submitters for
more information, and hopefully will close them out.
Note that
6805733 ggrep 2.5.4
hasn't made it to the external site yet. It just says that we should
upgrade since we're at 2.5, and also that we should turn on pcre support.
I wasn't sure what to do with the localization files. It seems that some
components keep their (compiled) localizations in their own packages, while
others deliver .po files to the L10N centers via SUNW0sfw. Since SUNWggrp
had been doing the latter, I kept it that way, but can move them into
SUNWggrp if that's preferred.
Note that this is a GPLv3 component. I'm still waiting for legal approval.
I may be waiting a long time, but on the offchance that it comes through
quickly and without hassle, I figured I'd put this up.
I also put the entire text of the GPLv3 into the copyright file.
Previously, there had been a short stub of the GPLv2. Perhaps legal will
have some helpful suggestions about what text needs to be there, but if
there's a preferred form, let me know.
Thanks,
Danek
