Paul,

I haven't looked at the other packages, there's about 3 or 4 that are
needed for Alpine to run, the following could all be needed.

libiconv
libintl
ncurses
openssl (should be in the system already)

And the other piece is where all of this will be located, it seems that
/usr is where all is going, which I have been a supporter of, but that
wasn't clear when I was talking to Mike Sullivan yesterday.

First, I need to make sure my manager is ok with me doing Alpine. If that
is ok, will tag onto your ARC case, make sure we have the opensource
review, along with all the other stuff, and work on getting a package
built.

I have been using version 2.00 for a week or so now, it's working fine.

In theory, this should be easier than pine, as it is Apache Licensed, at
least for going through the OSR.

I'll find out if my manager is ok with this today.

David, we need some type of priority list for open source packages. As I
mentioned, if there is something that is a higher priority than Alpine,
I'm ok running with that. When I spoke with MikeS yesterday, he mentioned
that the appropriate department within Solaris engineering is preferred,
but in this case where I use Alpine, he's ok with that. I would just like
to be working on a package that can go in an IPS repository somewhere. If
there is something that is in more need, per your priorities, let me know.
