For basic functionality, yes.

It doesn't quite find OpenSSL by default, least when I last built 
alpine. GSSAPI takes some hacking on build files. LDAP takes a bit more 
hacking.

I guess lack of GSSAPI won't bother too many, but LDAP is needed for 
corporate address-book support.

I don't have the ARC case to hand, but paths under /usr were approved I 
think.
